Robotech: The Macross Saga / Super Dimension Fortress Macross Armored VF-1A Valkyrie Production Cel, 1st Model Sheet (Studio Nue/Artland, 1982). Macross, or The Super Dimension Fortress Macross, is a 36-episode Japanese animated sci-fi mecha series, created by studio Nue and Shôji Kawamori in 1982. The series fairly quickly acquired mythical status due to its principle based on three elements, mechas with a realistic design designed by Shôji Kawamori called valkyries, a musical atmosphere provided by the songs of a young idol, Lynn Minmay (Mari Iijima) and especially the story mixing space-opera and love triangle.
